A game called life, is a coming of age movie. About how the choices you make have a direct impact on how your life turns out. For a lot of people, they cruise along life not really sure where they are going or even where they are going to end up. Those people are commonly referred to as losers by society, and for smaller percentage of people who end making something of their lives earn the title of winners. But regardless of that title you are given - this movie teaches us that life is a cruel mistress that will beat the strongest man down.
Because regardless of whether you win or lose, we are all on the chessboard of life. Players in a game that we have no control over.
This film will address many universal problems that a lot of people will encounter in their short lives. These include; Depression, Heartbreak and Death. Many of these themes will touch the audience emotionally as everyone has experienced these at some point.
Synopsis
The film will be set in an old english school ( Wroxton Abbey ) an follows a young boy called "Jason Alldritt" who suffers from anxiety. However, Jason has high aspirations for himself and aims to get into the most prestigious school in the country - Failure after Failure leads him to the conclusion that he is not good enough. This is conjunction with the departure of his longtime girlfriend as she finds that he isn't the same as everyone else after setting these goals for himself.
This sets him on the path of self discovery and leads him to meet a friend who persuades him to apply one last time. He finally gets in and begins to start living the dream. This links to the ideology that the grass is always greener on the other side mentality - He finds that the happiness that he said he would have once he reached this point would surpass all the hardship that he undergone. He then learns through various lessons throughout the film that Life isn't so black and white and that his happiness starts from within.
By the end of the Film Jason has beaten his anxiety and other vices, and finally understands the game of life.
