Initial ideas : Reflection / Evaluation
For my first pitch I presented my initial ideas in front of my fellow class mates, at the time I hadn't of created a presentation. However, I had a pretty good grasp of the topics and genres that I wanted to pursue. During presentation I went on to explain my three ideas [see attachment] I also explored the significance of each idea and how I would be using representation to make a political / cultural point. Which was to put a ethnically diverse character in a position that most audiences aren't used to seeing. The general consensus was that many of my classmates really liked my ideas and had very little criticism to add other than perhaps a mixture of the two ideas merging the two stereotype subversions.
The initial process of planning my presentation helped me to develop my ideas further and formed a point of singularity to be focused on. Using this method I was able to eliminate ideas that weren't of any significant value and didn't serve a higher narrative purpose. The idea that resonated with most of the audience was the music video as the vast majority thought that the message would resonate with the most amount of people. This was mostly because because the idea was the most developed out of the three making it the best to put into production.
The conclusion of this, was that I was able to filter through ideas that would considered 'Unattainable' within the time frame. And focus more heavily on narrative driven plotlines that we develop further.
